Banking & Finance The office of the Publisher Unit of the World Bank wanted to convert their client-server system for tracking the development, production, and distribution of publications to an integrated e-commerce system. Goldman & Saloum helped design and develop a multi-user e-commerce application to meet the diverse needs of users and clients. This integrated business application encompasses all administrative aspects of the publishing lifecycle. Non ProfitThe development of PMI member subscription system subcontracted to one of our clients required e-commerce consultants. Goldman & Saloum provided the needed resources and was successful in delivering the assigned Module on time and within budget. TelecommunicationCentral to one of our client's business was the development and sales of various Telecommunication Services to commercial, residential, and federal clients. To maintain Just-in-Time level, Engineering Services required 50% spare capacity at any time in all locations across North America. A Web enabled capacity creation request system was necessary to meet this challenging requirement and to facilitate the process of capacity upgrade by Telecommunication Engineers. The new system supports the Workflow of Sales, Customer Business Services, Customer Network Engineering, New Product Approval, Central Office Engineering, Capacity Creation, Outside Plant, Collocation, and real-estate. Goldman & Saloum performed the full systems development life cycle and completed a requirements analysis, an alternatives analysis, a high-level design, a procurement plan, and a detailed system design document. Goldman & Saloum assisted in the development of the CCR using the Microsoft suite of tools. The application is a fully Web-based three-tier system, and was developed in JAVA, EJB, Visual Basics, COM, ASP, SQL, HTML, ActiveX, Extensible Markup Language (XML), and JavaScript. Engineering and ManufacturingGeneral Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) is the contractor for the design and build of the new Advanced Amphibious System for the U.S. Marine Corps. Goldman & Saloum assisted CSC and GDLS in the design and development of an Integrated Information System that can elecronically implement several of the process improvements identified by GDAMS. Central to this activity was the deployment of a PTC Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC) technology [Windchill]. This approach seeks to validate requirements with the user and process owner communities through rapid prototyping, and application of the various scenarios of usage by AAAV.
